Integration Guides

Connect ComplyPost to your favourite automation tools. Each guide walks through webhook setup, signature verification, and common workflows.

n8nSelf-hosted or cloud
  1. 1In n8n, add a Webhook trigger node. Copy the production webhook URL.
  2. 2In ComplyPost, go to Settings → Webhooks → Add Endpoint. Paste the n8n URL and select the events you want.
  3. 3Copy the signing secret and add it as a credential or environment variable in n8n.
  4. 4Add a Code node after the webhook trigger to verify the HMAC-SHA256 signature.
  5. 5Build your workflow — e.g. route letter.urgent events to Slack, create tasks in Asana for deadlines, or sync letters to a Google Sheet.

Popular n8n workflows

  • • Urgent letter → Slack notification + Teams message
  • • Deadline detected → Create task in Monday.com or Asana
  • • Batch completed → Summary email to practice manager
  • • Letter bounced → Update client record in Xero
ZapierCloud automation
  1. 1Create a new Zap and select Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook as the trigger.
  2. 2Copy the Zapier webhook URL and add it in ComplyPost under Settings → Webhooks.
  3. 3Click Test in ComplyPost to send a sample payload, then return to Zapier to map the fields.
  4. 4Add action steps — send emails, create spreadsheet rows, update CRM records, or trigger other Zaps.

Popular Zapier workflows

  • • New letter → Add row to Google Sheet with sender, client, priority
  • • Urgent letter → Send SMS via Twilio
  • • Batch completed → Post summary to Microsoft Teams
  • • Deadline → Create Google Calendar event
MakeVisual automation
  1. 1Create a new scenario and add a Webhooks → Custom webhook module as the trigger.
  2. 2Create the webhook in Make, copy its URL, and add it to ComplyPost under Settings → Webhooks.
  3. 3Send a test delivery from ComplyPost to define the data structure in Make.
  4. 4Add router modules to handle different event types. Use filters to route letter.urgent events differently from batch.completed.

Popular Make workflows

  • • Letter classified → Update Notion database
  • • Urgent letter → Create Jira ticket
  • • Deadline detected → Add to Todoist or ClickUp
  • • Batch completed → Generate PDF report via Google Docs

Signature verification

Always verify the HMAC-SHA256 signature in your webhook handler before processing events. See the Webhooks page for code examples in Node.js and Python.
